Since the Kingston Operation Red Nose campaign was started in 1997, more than
10,000 rides have been safely completed by more than 5,000 volunteers. To date, more than $200, 000 has been raised and donated to local literacy programs targeting youth. 

In 2016, donations totaling $13,000 were used for youth Self esteem and Internet Security workshops, and divided between local programs including:

  • Troupe de theater Quiproquo from the French Catholic Secondary High-School Marie-Rivier for participation to the 20th franco-onatrien festival of Théâtre-Action en milieu scolaire in Sudbury;
  • Canadian Diabetes Association's Camp Banting program for children with Type 1 Diabetes;
  • Club Optimiste Frontenac BFC Kingston: Youth Safety program.

Nationally, Operation Red Nose has completed more than 2 million rides since the program started in 1984. About $1.1 million is donated annually to youth-related projects across the country.
